Adding Custom Domains to Sitejet
Overview
Your Sitejet website can be connected to a custom domain so it’s accessible under your own business name, such as
www.yourbusiness.co.uk.
At RPV Websites, we make this process simple — domains purchased through us are automatically configured, while domains
purchased elsewhere just need their nameservers updated.
If You Purchased Your Domain Through RPV Websites
If you bought your domain when signing up or directly through your Client Area, you don’t need to do anything.
Your nameservers are automatically set up to point to our hosting infrastructure, and your Sitejet site will go live
as soon as it’s published.
- No DNS configuration required.
- SSL certificates are automatically installed and renewed.
- Your domain is fully managed through your Client Area.
If You Purchased Your Domain Elsewhere
If your domain is registered with another provider (for example, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or 123 Reg),
you’ll just need to update your domain’s nameservers to point to RPV Websites.
This replaces any existing settings and connects your domain directly to your hosting account.
Our Nameservers
ns1.rpvwebsites.co.uk
ns2.rpvwebsites.co.uk
Once these nameservers are added to your registrar’s control panel, your domain will automatically connect to your hosting account.
Changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate globally.
How to Update Nameservers
- Log in to your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain).
- Locate your domain’s Nameserver or DNS Settings area.
- Replace the existing nameservers with the ones above.
- Save the changes — your website will automatically link to your hosting account once propagation completes.
SSL and Security
All domains connected to RPV Websites include a free SSL certificate.
SSL activation is automatic once your nameservers are pointing correctly, and your site will load securely using https://.
