Understanding Limited vs. Full Access
Overview
Different RPV Websites hosting plans include different levels of access to cPanel and system tools.
This ensures each user has the right balance of flexibility and security for their website management needs.
This guide explains what’s available under Limited Access and Full Access.
Limited Access (Basic Plan)
The Basic Plan is designed for users who want a simplified experience focused on building and maintaining their website through the Sitejet builder.
You’ll still benefit from the same reliable hosting infrastructure and automatic backups as all other plans,
but with fewer management tools to prevent accidental configuration changes.
- Access to the Sitejet drag-and-drop builder.
- Automatic SSL for all connected domains.
- Secure login to the Client Area and direct Sitejet access.
- Backups managed automatically via Wasabi storage.
- No direct access to email setup, file manager, or database tools.
If you’d like to add an email account or make DNS or file changes,
contact our team at hello@rpvwebsites.co.uk
and we’ll handle it for you.
Full Access (Business & Enterprise Plans)
The Business and Enterprise plans include full access to cPanel and related tools.
This allows you or your developer to manage all aspects of your hosting account independently.
- Full cPanel access (files, emails, domains, and databases).
- Ability to create and manage email accounts directly.
- Access to the File Manager, MySQL databases, and cron jobs.
- Custom domain and DNS management.
- Advanced performance and caching controls.
Security & Recommendations
- Use your Client Area’s “Login to cPanel” button whenever possible for secure, token-based login.
- Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in your Client Area for extra security.
- Don’t share your login credentials with third parties. If a developer needs access,
use the “Add Sub-User” feature instead (see “How to Add a Sub-User / Developer”).
Upgrading Your Access Level
If you started on the Basic Plan and find you need full access for email or file management,
you can request an upgrade by opening a support ticket:
- Log in to your Client Area.
- Go to Support → Open Ticket.
- Enter “Upgrade Request” as the summary.
- In the message box, include your current package name and the features you’d like access to.
Our team will review your account and process the upgrade manually.
You’ll be notified once it’s complete, typically within one working day.
