Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Overview

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your RPV Websites account. Even if someone knows your password, they won’t be able to log in without also entering the one-time code from your authentication app.

Why Enable 2FA?

Enabling 2FA protects your client account and hosting access from unauthorized logins. We strongly recommend all users activate it before launch to help keep your data and website secure.

How to Enable 2FA

  1. Log in to your Client Area.
  2. Click your name in the top-right corner and select Account Details.
  3. Open the Security tab and select Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. Click Enable 2FA.
  5. Scan the QR code using an authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
  6. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm setup.

Logging In with 2FA

Once enabled, every time you log in you’ll be asked for both your password and a temporary 2FA code. Codes refresh every 30 seconds inside your authenticator app.

Disabling 2FA

If you ever need to disable 2FA (for example, when switching to a new phone), log in first, then go to Account Details → Security → Two-Factor Authentication and click Disable. For your safety, you must enter your current password to complete this action.

Lost Access to Your Authenticator?

If you’ve lost access to your authenticator app and can’t log in, please email hello@rpvwebsites.co.uk from your registered email address. We’ll verify your identity and help restore access securely.

Security Tip

For even stronger protection, enable biometric unlock or PIN security in your authenticator app to prevent unauthorized access.
